Autoimmunity

According to the American Autoimmune Related Diseases Association (AARDA), autoimmune diseases impact over 50 million Americans, or one in five people.

What is Autoimmune Disease?

Autoimmune diseases stem from chronic inflammation in the body. Your immune system malfunctions and the body attacks healthy cells, tissues and organs, mistakenly thinking they are foreign invaders. There are over 100 disorders under the Autoimmmune umbrella including Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis, Graves’ Disease, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Multiple Sclerosis.

While you may have a genetic predisposition for a particular autoimmune disease, whether those genes get expressed, and determining if you can reverse symptoms after diagnosis, depends largely on modifiable lifestyle factors.

Remember that 25% / 75% rule, where 25% of your health depends on your genes and the remaining 75% is in your power by changing many aspects of your life including, but not limited to, your diet, toxin exposures, and stress levels through a Functional Medicine approach.

Having reversed the symptoms of 2 autoimmune diseases, Functional Medicine transformed me personally and professionally. I am deeply grateful to Dr. Amy Myers as her resources were the catalyst for me to dive into Functional Medicine and heal myself naturally.

Your autoimmune disease is not your destiny

Your symptoms are not in your head and medications are not the only path.

You can take your life back!

Cognitive Health

“45 million out of 318 million currently living Americans will develop Alzheimer’s Disease.”

Apollo Health

You do not have to be one of them!

Dr. Dale Bredesen shared his revolutionary approach in his groundbreaking 2017 book, The End of Alzheimer’s: The First Program to Prevent and Reverse Cognitive Decline.

He provided hope for the first time that through a personalized Functional Medicine approach addressing biochemical, genetic, environmental and lifestyle factors, cognitive decline can be prevented, slowed down or reversed.

The “Bredesen 7” refers to the main strategies used to simplify the protocol (see image below).

I have completed the Reversing Cognitive Decline For Coaches: Bredesen Protocol Certification for Coaches and am now a ReCODE 2.0 Certified Cognition Coach through Apollo Health.

As a Support Team Intern for ApoE4.Info: The Alzheimer’s Gene Resource and an ApoE4 - Aware Health Coach, I supported and welcomed new members to the site dealing with their, or that of a loved one’s ApoE4 status, and/or diagnosis of cognitive decline.

I can support you in addressing these areas.

Now, for the first time, we can all say that we know survivors of Alzheimer’s Disease. Look out for Dr. Dale Bredesen’s newest book, The First Survivor’s of Alzheimer’s: How Patients Recovered Life and Hope in Their Own Words.
